Bovine Emergency Response Planning (BERP)

About the BERP Program 

  • It is estimated there are several hundred thousand head of cattle on the roadways each day in the United States. A Bovine Emergency Response Plan (BERP) and teaching curriculum were developed to offer a framework for local emergency responders to more effectively and efficiently address accidents involving livestock transportation.

This training is geared towards first responders:

  • Emergency Management Agency (EMA) personnel
  • Law Enforcement
  • CERT
