Ag Safety STAT: Safety Thru the Seasons 2024

  1. National Farm Safety and Health Week is September 15 – 21, 2024. This annual event was put in place by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1944. For the past 80 years, the nation continues to commemorate safety education for farm workers and farm families.

  2. Each year a national campaign highlights efforts farmers and rural communities can take to be aware of the many hazards working in agriculture. Since 1944, the third week of September is dedicated to National Farm Safety and Health Week.

  4. A fire is contained and burning in an open field

The beginning of March is a great time to get started on outdoor spring-cleaning projects, but it is also a time when outdoor burning can get out of control quickly. Woody debris from downed tree branches, overgrown fencerows, and general yard work can create a lot of waste.
